Ottoman Balkan Miquelet ‘Boyliya’ musket with mother of pearl and micromosaic inlay

A nice early Ottoman Boyliya musket from the Balkan provinces. The wooden stock finely inlaid with small brass and green stained ivory micromosaic roundels, and with mother of pearl, red lac and brass aroun the lockplate region. The lock of miquelet flintlock type. The steel barrel with nice deep aged patina, the breech region with decorative designs and lettering, and a deep makers maker. The end of the butt fitted with a section of blonde horn.  middle east
