A nice Southern African spear of the Nguni people, Zulu Iklwa style with a long steel tapering blade. The collar bound tightly with woven reed or cane. The wooden shaft with a flaring end. Lovely old patina allover, dating to the 19th century. 51 inches overall, the blade 14.5 inches. This spear was collected in South Africa during WWII by a British soldier.
