Indian bLack lacquered Dhal shield with gilt bosses

A 19th century Indian Dhal shield, domed circular shape lacquered with black. Four central flower bosses in thick gold. Five silver pins to one edge probably originally holding a crescent. Good general condition, buckle to one side where shield has been resting, otherwise good condition. The reverse with original velvet padded handcushion and handgrips. 20 inches.
