Good Brass Shield From Aceh Sumatra

 A nice example of an antique late 19th century Aceh shield, from the north of Sumatra.  A heavier example, and quite large, with elaborate cast stars and decoratiion to the front. The rear retaining its original cord bound handle grip in good condition, 31.5 cms diameter.
