A good complete gorget from a German Almain black and white armour 2nd half of the 16th century circa 1560. Complete with its spauldrons upper arms defences, all original leather bindings internally. Collar and cuffs with rope turned borders, the plates shaped with creases to accentuate the black and polished steel contrast. The lower front plate of the gorget stamped with the guild mark of Nurnberg ( Nuremberg) and the makers mark of Martin Oham. Good overall condition, some plates reaffixed with fixed rivets.
