The blade is deeply curved and double-edged, whereas the norm is for this form of knife to have a straight blade.The blade is thick, strong and sharp, with a chiselled inscription to one side in arabic. The hilt chiselled and overlaid with silver, some age wear. The scabbard of silver with beautiful designs of scrollwork, the chape terminating in a bud (slightly pushed in).
