 A North Indian Khanda sword circa 1840. The blade with a widening blade towards the tip, made from fine crystalline steel mounted and reinforced along its edges with steel applications.Steel basket hilt with traces of silver koftgari decoration, and traces of old gold paint, the disc pommel with a long central finial with leaf carvings to its base. The large handguard with a brass ring attached to take a lanyard. Scarce sword form.
