Early Sino-Tibetan Saddle Derge with pierced steel decoration

 An early Sino-Tibetan saddle from Kham, decorated panels of 'Derge' pierced steelwork with dragons and other motifs, silvered and gilt remaning. The lower panels with deeply carved gold cloud scroll appliques, all mounted on a red fabric background. Complete with its original textile embroidered cushion pad. In good condition overall, some old damages and contemporary repairs, a very old piece probably 17th century.
