Yari Hadome Japanese spear with lacquerwork Edo

A short Japanese Yari spear ‘Edo’ Period. The short tri-sided blade grooved to the centre with red lac inlay. Black lacquer shaft with ribbed length, bound with gold lac-cord at intervals, the end fitted with an iron spiked butt, the centre with a lacquered black/red hadome guard. Slight damage to blade tip, age wear overall, untouched original condition. Early 19th century.   far east
