A wonderful 19th century Indian Axe – all steel, and beautifully constructed with the blade forming the neck of an antelope, complete with the animals head and twisted horns. The Steel semi-circular axe blade and the entire axe with traces of extremely fine decoration in the form of scrolls and swirls. The long steel shaft with bands at intervals and a domed base. A wonderful looking indo persian weapon dating to the 19th century. Good uncleaned condition, the blade is a little wobbly which could be fixed if required, some nicks roughness to the blade edge.
