A good 19th century Chinese double sword -Shuang-Jian. Marked with the emperors Qianlong mark in silver inlay. The entire blades of both decorated with silver and gold, with figures and calligraphy, and dragons with further celestial motifs. The guards and scabbard mounts pierced with dragons, black lacquered scabbard. The handles with carved scrimshaw type grips, inked calligraphy to the back of the hilts. Rare to find double swords, especially in this good condition.
