 Very rare surviving Persian Khula Khud helmet with lacquered decoration. . The helmet of very thick and heavy steel the front shaped and painted to represent a demon face with appiled steel horns, and top spike. Surrounding the rim of the helmet bowl a fine steel protective camail. With a protective nasal guard to the front of the helmet. Attractive dark patination overall and some losses to lacquered detail. 19th century.  indo-persian
