Massive heavy Chinese 19th century Polearm Quando Qing Dynasty

An immensely heavy large Chinese Polearm ‘Quando’. The steel blade massive, thick, and sharp, the back edge shaped with ridges and spiked with a ring to the rear. The blade protrudes from a dragons head, constructed of cut steel, dark patination with traces of red pigment. Protruding applied steel eyes and teeth, horns. The shaft of thick wood, lacquered thickly in red. Of 19th century date, age wear, blade unpolished, one horn missing to dragon head, original uncleaned condition.  far eastern
