a very nice example of a singhalese piha kaetta dagger. Good large example, embellished with silver chiselled scrollword, inlay and panelling to the blade and hilt. the pommel with a deeply scrolled silver covering. Good steel blade, the hilt carved with scrolls from rhino horn. good overall condition, small losses, no sheath circa 1800, 29 cms long approximately
