Attractive 19th century Indian peshKabz dagger. Silver mounted throughout with exquisite chiselling, piercing and engraved work, hilghlights to the hilt with gold wash. The pommel formed as an elephants head with inlaid red and green stones. The blade very sharp and robust likely crystalline wootz stee, bolsters formed integrally with the blade. The sheath with silver mounts, fabric felt mounted wooden middle section. This dagger came from a collection purported to have been purchased from the armoury at Jodphur, Rajastan. indo persian
