The blade from a South Indian Patissa with elaborate chiselled central spine, flexible blade likely of wootz damascus steel retaining a very sharp cutting edge. The basket hilt with thick handguard and decorated pommel and long hand spike to the end. Retaining a pleasing dark blackened uncleaned patination allover. Of South Indian origin.
