Fine Moroccan silver sword with Rhino hilt

A fine quality Moroccan shortsword ‘Genoui’. Long tapering steel blade probably from a european sword originally, the mounts of high quality thick silver with decoration and hallmarked for standard silver content. The centre part with a silver band mounted with a red stone, fabric covering to the rest of the sheath. The hilt of a solid piece of rhino horn with a pierced silver mount to the very top. CITES applies to international orders.  dating to the 19th century , 68 cms long overall in its sheath. The hanging rings either side still with the original thick silk hanging sash attached and in good condition
