A very nice good quality pair of Persian lances or spears, with double forked blades each. The heads are of watered steel, finely chiselled with ribs and thickened tips, the base of each blade inlaid with scrolling designs in gold. The long steel collars are facetted in section each face hand chiselled beautifully with lines of floral and geometric decoration. Both heads are mounted on wooden shafts with metallic tassels below the blades, and velvet padded grips in the shaft centres. 19th century, overall good condition, some corrosion loss to small areas of collars, one blade slightly warped. 187 cms long
