Very nice Chinese Dao sword with pierced mounts and watered engraved blade Qing

Very good Chinese sword 'Dao', Qing Dynasty period, 19th century. The blade very fine with strong watered pattern and very sharp inserted hardened steel edge, engraved dragons to the tip, other engraved motifs and characters to the forte area near the guard. The hilt with very nice chiselled and pierced probable gilt-bronze mounts with dragons and other symbolic designs, the grip bound with woven flat cord, a large rounded handguard pierced and chiselled with dragons, and ying-yang motif. The scabbard fitted and retaining all its original gilt-bronze or brass mounts, with repeated chiselled themes of scrolling chinese dragons, long top hanging bar, and original hinged belt clip for hanging the sword from a belt. The scabbard body covered with a thick white marine shagreen hide.  Great condition, some age wear to all parts, a very nice example.    far eastern
