North European Plate Armour Breastplate circa 1520

An early North European Breastplate probably German or British circa 1510-30. Heavy thick plate steel with moveable bordered section to the armpit, the chest heavily convex and with a central ridge to deflect blows. The upper edge, and arm edges heavily reinforced. The skirt with three moveable lames ( some fixed and replaced rivets), and a shaped codpiece area. Dark age patina.
