A good old Zulu war shield dating to the end of the 19th century. The hide retaining much of its black and white patterned fur. The reverse showing good patina, with a short stabbing spear as a stiffening pole, the loop hide grip missing. With an old collectors/museum identification label. The hide 39 x 21 inches not including the spear. A wonderful display piece of good size. |
