An interesting and unusual Persian powder or priming flask for a musket. Main body constructed of shaped and carved Rhinocerous horn, shaped steel mounts, sprung steel opening mechanism, original leather strap. Good condition, minor wear, small loss to spout. The lower picture shows a similar shaped powder flask hanging from the waist of a Qajar musketeer, early 19th century. 12 cms long, Iran 18th or early 19th century. $sold
