Attractive Caucasian rifle. Hardwood stock of beautiful striped wood inlaid with designs of mother-of-pearl and ivory or bone. Fine quality barrel of dark damascus-twist steel with non-cylindrical x-section having a slgihtly raised ridge along its length. Banded with shaped cappucines of brassl. Steel percussion lock with some finely engraved designs to the front in good working order, steel trigger and trigger guard, long steel shaped straps to the butt. Later steel ramrod of greatly reduced length. Very good condition, small area of corrosion to barrel and mechanism around the firing pin due to the corrosive action of gunpowder.
