A scarce knife from Ethiopia. Simple double edged steel blade tapering with a curve, the hilt made of sections of black and yellow horn( giraffe horn?) spaced with white metal probably aluminium. The inner lining of red leather which sits within a pierced gilt-metal sheath decorated all over with intricate designs. Good overall condition. 17 inches overall. Probably dating to the early 20th century.
