A 19th century Tibetan dirk or shortsword. The single edged blade of very stout strong construction, and displaying the traditional lamellar forging pattern. The hilt and scabbard mounts of pierced chiselled darkened steel, grip of lacquered wood. The central scabbard area to the back and front is covered by a black felt. A leather loop secures the top of the scabbard. Age wear overall. 27 inches approximately. $795
