An attractive Dagger from Turkey or the Caucasus 'Kindjal'. Hilt of solid marine (Walrus) ivory of beautiful rich colour. The fine steel blade double edged and with deep makers marks to both sides. The sheath covered with red velvet and retaining a woven belt with tassels, the steel mounts finely damscened in silver (uncleaned). Dating to the late 19th or early 2oth century. 16.5 inches long overall. $sold |
