An unusual sword from North Sumatra, Aceh. The quality steel blade double-edged with central fuller and stamped with makers markings to both sides. The hilt of steel, finely engraved and chiselled, with large guards. Curious pommel of lacquered wood, which appears to be a rare variation of this hilt. Dating to the early-mid 19th century.
