An interesting Kukri. The carved horn hilt with an applied silver plaque reading ' For Services Rendered..  Siri Nath Regt..Lahore India..   1917-1918'. Good steel blade with a chiselled frieze along the spine to each side, some wear to one side and the tip. Original leather and wood sheath. The Siri Nath Regiment may have been composed of Sikhs or Nepali Gorkhas, both of whom saw much active service during WW1 and who made use of the kukri in close quarter fighting. 18.5 inches overall.
