An attractive and large Moro sword 'Kris'. Heavy good quality steel blade with a gently waved edge and a ridge down its centre, the top chiselled and shaped and with a separately forged top section. The hilt with a very large beautifully shaped striped wood pommel applied with silver, chiselled shaped silver collars to the top and bottom of the grip. The scabbard with nicely carved shaped top-section and banded with silver along its length. Very good condition , age wear and a chip of wood to the pommel crest missing beneath the silver. A large and very nice sword dating to the late 19th century. 29 inches overall in sheath.
