The hilt of the finest shaped pierced steel exquisitely perforated in bands, the pommel containing small stones reputedly from the Holy Moslem city of Mecca, The shamshir type blade deeply curved and with a cartouche conataining arabic calligraphy, a talismanic square or bedouh containing numbers, and a small chiselled inscription along the back edge.
