A very interesting and rare pair of decorated mail trousers from Persia or the Caucasus. The mail butted and applied with shaped panels decorated with gold and silver koftgari. The knees with round panels decorated with monster facesm surrounded by fish shaped panels. The mail also retains it's original leather padded undertrousers, a very rare survival. The inside of these are lined with a thick white fabric. The mail is only partially cleaned and could be restored much further, a few minor holes, and needing some reattachment to the leather undertrousers. $2995 |
