Indian Steel Shield Dhal

A fine Indian steel shield 'Dhal'. The surface beautifully damascened with designs in silver and gold. Mounted with four steel bosses with shaped edges, the reverse padded with red textile and fabric handgrips. 16 inch diameter. Dating to the 19th century. North India/ Rajasthan.
