Ashoka Arts as a business was established in 1994 as a follow on from an avid interest in collecting primarily antiques of a more ancient kind.. European and Far Eastern Bronze Age pieces. Our interest spread to weapons of the Dark and Medieval periods and has since grown to cover all the wonderful and varied weapons found throughout global cultures. Many of these works of art are now irreplaceble as the cultures which initially created them have vanished or been changed beyond recognition by the 20th and 21st centuries. Having traded for many years at Portobello Market in the heart of the Antiques community in the South, we now sell directly online through this website and at regular Arms Fairs events in the UK. We seek to offer a good quality varied assortment of items relating to warrior or military cultures, items which at one time were plentiful and disregarded but are increasingly becoming recognised in their own right.
